Sebastian Cox works every day to champion British woodlands from the design studio and workshop based in south east London. Timeless collections of furniture, lighting and accessories are made on the principle that a traditional approach could be radical with respectful inventiveness and new technology.
From humble beginnings in 2010, the creative team has grown, immersing historical traditions for using biodegradable and renewable materials to make simple and functional compostable furniture.

Very efficient with their manufacturing. By Life Cycle Assessing their pieces they can offer a carbon footprint - most of which are carbon negative i.e. they absorb more CO2 than they emit in their manufacture.
Materials
Buy wood from GiB (Grown in Britain). All pieces are made from biodegradable materials like solid wood or leather. They also offer a refinishing service on their furniture, which is only possible because they make with solid wood.
Production
Have a mill, enabling them to process street trees and unwanted forest trees, making them able to bring waste wood into commercial use
Minimise packaging by delivering in reusable or returnable blankets.
