Mater was founded in Copenhagen in 2006, as a conscious and ethical design brand which utilises a strong design talent and philosophy. Materials
The mango wood is made from mango trees that can no longer produce any fruit (a waste product). Every tree that is cut, another is replaced.

Production
The two major factories in Slovenia and India both uses wood pellets from waste wood in production to generate heat and power within their factory. The glass factory in India is one of the few in India to use Natural Gas as energy source
Innovation
Aluminium stools and bowl tables are made from 80% recycled aluminium from bicycle wheels and car parts.
