At JD Sports' National Distribution Centre in Greater Manchester, 'kin transformed a dated canteen into a dynamic, brand-led social hub for the retailer's 1,500-strong workforce.

We worked with 'kin to specify freestanding furniture throughout the space. The design called for varied seating arrangements to cater to different needs – from communal dining to quiet reflection areas – all whilst maintaining the bold, urban aesthetic central to JD's brand identity.

The canteen features LED screens, curated artwork and product installations that reflect JD's distinctive style, balanced with soft finishes and tactile joinery to create an inviting social space. Sustainability underpins the design through intelligent lighting systems and materials containing high recycled content, including reclaimed building waste and plastics.
