The scope covered a fully bespoke package of loose furniture and joinery, including banquettes, tables, chandeliers, waiter stations, drapery and seating. Behind the scenes, delivering a project of this scale, quality and complexity required meticulous operational coordination. We managed the entire consolidation and delivery process, working to incredibly tight timelines to ensure that every custom piece of joinery, bespoke light fitting, and fragile finish arrived on site in perfect sequence, protecting the design's integrity.

Italian Ciambella Lighting

Named for the ring-shaped Italian cakes they echo, the oversized Ciambella fixtures anchor Carbone's main dining room, hand-finished in Italy and suspended low over each table to cast a warm, intimate glow. Their sculptural, ringed form plays against the room's red and white marble flooring and ebonised mahogany marquetry, adding a note of theatre to every table setting. The fixtures were sourced and installed as part of Dodds & Shute's bespoke lighting package, chosen for their craftsmanship and their ability to hold their own within one of Mayfair's most dramatic dining rooms.

Archive Damask by Watts 1874

Founded in 1874 by architects George Frederick Bodley and Thomas Garner, Watts 1874 is a British design house built on a rich archive spanning over 200 years of fabric history, from Gothic Revival damasks to 18th-century silk brocatelles. At Carbone, deep-red damask drawn from the Watts archive wraps the bar and lounge, layering British textile heritage into Ken Fulk's Italian-American supper club setting. The fabric's dense, patterned weave adds warmth and texture beneath the room's mirrored ceiling panels and fluted glass detailing, reinforcing the sense of theatre carried through from the dining room above.
