1 Broadgate, British Land
1 Broadgate is a major mixed-use development at the heart of British Land and GIC's Broadgate campus in the City of London, adjacent to Liverpool Street station. Designed by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, the building delivers over 500,000 square feet of workspace across twelve floors alongside 48,000 square feet of retail and leisure.
Dodds & Shute were appointed by British Land to procure furniture across five zones of the lobby, working in collaboration with the AHMM design team. Sustainability informed the procurement brief from the outset, consistent with British Land's 2030 commitment to reduce embodied carbon across their developments.

The Aya Collection by Benchmark
Designed by Foster + Partners, the Aya collection forms the backbone of the collaboration zones. Made from solid timber with a focus on whole-life thinking, each piece is finished with natural oils to support long-term maintenance, and backed by a lifetime repair service and take-back scheme. Benchmark has held the King's Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development, and the Aya collection is produced with Environmental Product Declarations and Red List Free Declare labelling.
The Nuez Lounge Chair by Andreu World
The Nuez lounge chair specified for this project features a shell produced from Pure ECO thermopolymer — a material made entirely from polymer waste recovered through industrial recycling, which is 100% recycled and 100% recyclable at the end of its life. Andreu World developed Pure ECO in response to the scale of the global plastic waste problem, with over 90% of plastic produced worldwide currently going unrecycled. By reintroducing end-of-life thermopolymer components back into production, the material closes the loop without compromising performance.
The Cut Chair by Lapalma
The Cut chair is produced by Lapalma at their facility near Padova, where nearly all components are fabricated and assembled in-house. Lapalma works predominantly with recyclable materials including steel, aluminium and responsibly sourced wood, and keeps plastic use to a minimum across their range.
