Ember Locke, Rooms
Atelier Ochre and House of Dré have channeled influences from iconic London landmarks for their interior design of Locke Hotels' latest establishment in Kensington. Housed in a Victorian mansion block, Ember Locke is an aparthotel featuring 121 serviced apartments, a bakery, restaurant, cocktail bar and co-working space. The designers embraced bold patterns and art deco details to infuse the space with opulence while honouring the area's architectural heritage. Warm, rich hues intertwine with maximalist elements, while the apartments' curved forms, fringed accents, and brass detailing evoke both playfulness and sophistication. The design aspires to both the hedonistic atmosphere of the now defunct Kensington Roof Gardens and the casual flamboyance of the iconic 1960s brand, Biba.
