Nouveau Rebel at Ace Hotel

Return to Journal

London Design Festival is crammed full with so many great events that making a decision about what to attend is tricky business. Without a doubt though the definitive highlight of this year’s calendar was the launch of the Nouveau Rebel collection by Lee Broom. This offered the opportunity to see his beautiful new marble collection at his Shoreditch studio on Rivington Street East London, which then later moved on to an exclusive event on the Ace Hotel rooftop.

Lee certainly knows how to throw a good party as this was a night we won’t forget anytime soon. It involved a lot of familiar, friendly faces dancing to great music overlooking breath-taking panoramic views of London, the drinks (free) were plentiful and the atmosphere electric! Everything was effortlessly cool.

Ace Hotel was designed by Barber Osgerby’s design studio Universal and opened in 2013, it has an eclectic collection of vintage and reclaimed furniture and its industrial surrounds has created a vibrant social hub. My favourite space commissioned by the fantastic designer Max Lamb is the bespoke series of tables, bar stools and bar claddings. Ace Hotel continues to prove itself the ultimate destination for any night out and make sure you check out Lee Broom’s wonderful studio on the way.
