Dodds & Shute NHS pledge

1% of order value to go towards NHS charity until the end of the lockdown

Due to COVID-19, the last few weeks have seen an unprecedented disruption to the personal and professional lives of everyone in society.

The top priority is the safety and security of our most vulnerable, and all steps taken to protect those in need are of paramount importance. This crisis has really shone a light on the incredibly vital role of our NHS. Employees of the NHS face great challenges daily, and now more than ever as they work on the frontlines during this pandemic.

Dodds & Shute have been struck by the upsurge in goodwill coming from the community, and we are keen to do our part. With this upheaval now at best predicted to last many more months, we have decided to pledge 1% of the value on all orders placed during the lockdown to go to The Imperial Health Charity (Charity Number 1166084) to show our support and gratitude.

The Imperial Health Charity has set up a special relief fund to support the NHS across five hospitals here in London; Charing Cross, Hammersmith, Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea, St Mary’s and The Western Eye, to prepare and respond to COVID-19. The money raised will provide emergency funds to help dedicated NHS staff cope, as well as ensuring hospitals can recover.

Also, it has come to our attention that NHS workers across many establishments have found hospital staff rooms to be inadequately furnished as spaces to unwind and temper the occupational stresses of shift work, which is especially worsening the emotional impact on our carers at this time. If any of our suppliers, clients or friends have ambient lighting fixtures or comfortable seating products they are able to offer as donations, please get in touch and we can facilitate the delivery of these items to local units.

Following government guidelines, our team are lucky to be able to conduct business at home, so Dodds & Shute remains operating business as usual. We have many exciting projects in the pipeline that we continue to prepare for, getting ready to commence once this period of shutdown is over.
